EPP Error Code 2106 is caused when you attempt to transfer a domain name during its renewal period or registration period.
When attempting to transfer a reseller domain during either periods a 2106 Domain not eligible for transfer according to the co.za transfer policy error is returned.
A domain may not be transferred during its Anniversary Period. The period is 3 days prior to its expiration up to the 6th of the following month as well as the first month of its registration.
For example, if the domain that you are wanting to transfer renews on the 4th of next month where today is the first of this month, then the domain may not be transferred 3 days prior to its renewal, during the month prior to its renewal and up until the 6th of the following month.
This means that if a domain's anniversary is on the 10th, it cannot be transferred from the 8th of the anniversary month until the 6th of the following month.
Furthermore, a domain cannot be transferred in the first month of its registration. Registrars must please take serious note and plan to transfer domains prior to or after the Anniversary Period.
