How to cancel a Pending Domain Deletion

This guide will walk you through the steps required to cancel a pending deletion on a domain before it has been deleted.

  1. Log into the ZA Domains Control panel using your Domain Reseller user name and Password.
  2. On the menu to the left, click on Domains to expand the menu then click on Manage Domains.
  3. Click on the Pending Delete tab and locate the domain name you wish to cancel the pending delete for. (The search function allows you to search for any part of the domain name, the User Reference, Organization or Expiry Date of a reseller domain name)
  4. Click on the Functions icon to the right of the domain name then click on Cancel Delete.
The cancellation of the pending deletion will be queued and actioned within a few minutes.

You can verify that the pending deletion has been cancelled by querying the domain on the ZACR whois page and checking the Domain Status and Pending Timer Events sections as per the example below.

If there are no Pending Timer events then the update has been cancelled.
